Elena holds a Master’s in Sociology and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Philosophy from Erasmus University Rotterdam (Netherlands).

She has worked on projects at the intersection of labor rights, migration, and ecology, developing artistic methodologies centered on collaborative practices, governance strategies, and social transformation. Some of these projects were carried out with the Dutch Domestic Workers Union, FNV Migrant Domestic Workers Union, where she was part of the Learning and Communication team.

She is also a workshop facilitator for children on art and nature at the cultural center Buitenplaats Brienenoord. Occasionally, she has worked as a content writer for different research projects and opinion columns.

“Amid so much anxiety, division, and fear, there is something about eating together that goes beyond the simple act of nourishing ourselves. Around a table, we care for one another—without hurry, without words, without expecting anything in return. Between bites and glances, silences feel lighter and conversations flow without urgency. We share because we gather. And from there, whatever needs to emerge, emerges.”
